Mark Warcup
Mark has been qualified a solicitor since 1994 and has a wealth of experience. Mark acts on behalf of a number of property owners with rural estates and commercial property portfolios and has substantial experience in deal with commercial property transactions and complex rural property issues, with particular emphasis on easements, covenants and boundary disputes. Mark also acts for clients in the sale and acquisition of small businesses and divorce proceedings and has been involved in a number of high value divorce cases.

Claire Skene
Claire has been qualified as a solicitor since 2005. Claire deals with all aspects of wills, probate, tax planning and other aspects of law relating to the elderly client. Gwen Fitzpatrick
Gwen has been qualified as a solicitor since 2006. Gwen acts for clients in matrimonial, family and separation cases and has extensive experience and expertise in this area, including advocacy experience. Gwen also acts for clients in commercial property and complex rural property transactions.

Conveyancing Department

We have a small dedicated conveyancing department which is overseen by Mark Warcup and also employing Ashlynne Butler and Katherine Edridge, both qualified conveyancers with many years experience between them.

Ashlynne has been with Warcup Skene, and previously Mark’s former firm, for 12 years. She has worked herself up from office junior and is now a qualified Specialist Paralegal handling her own caseload of domestic sales and purchases. Ashlynne has also recently started training in the preparation of Wills and assists Claire with Will drafting.

Katherine has been with Warcup Skene, and previously Mark’s former firm, for 5 years and has also gained her Specialist Paralegal qualification. She too has her own caseload of domestic sales and purchases and also carries out debt recovery work.

Support Staff

Caroline is on the front line in the office reception, greeting our clients, making appointments and answering the telephone. She also carries out a myriad of other duties as and when required.

Lesley is the longest serving member of the team having started with Marks former firm in 1998 as his secretary. Lesley still occupies this position and brings such a great depth of knowledge from her many years of service.

Jackie is Claire’s’ secretary with nine years legal experience having worked in Mark’s previous firm for 3 years. She is responsible for assisting Claire on all of her files whether this is through general secretarial duties or dealing with clients and organisations directly.

Jane is the accounts manager and responsible for overseeing the general office management having joined Warcup Skene at its inception in 2007.
